Ranked Number 1

CANEPROOF has chosen P.H. Tech as the manufacturer of the extrusions that are used in all their window and door frames.

P.H. Tech door and window designs were also the first to pass the new hurricane-worthy Dade County Large Missile Impact and Cyclic Pressure Test. In other words, CANEPROOF double- and single-hung casement and fixed windows withstood the impact of a 9-lb 2-by-4 moving at 34 mph, and the force of 175-mph winds.

With windows like that, picture the premium security you can add to your home or project.

Standards and Certification Side by Side

Standards describe minimum performance requirements established by groups such as the AAMA. These groups assess essentially the same properties. These include energy efficiency, structural strength, air and water tightness, and forced entry.

The only way consumers can be sure that standards are being met: product certification. Based on testing by independent laboratories, certification is your guarantee that windows and doors meet or exceed industry standards. And you can use certification to compare products fairly and accurately.

Our products comply to these standards:

  • AAMA/NWWDA 101 I.S2-97. An AAMA standard that defines US performance requirements for windows and doors as well as components such as extrusions, glass, sealants and hardware.

What’s more, US associations have developed a new harmonized North American standard, NAFS-1. Beginning on January 1, 2002, manufacturers and other industry pros will have 4 years to move to this standard. As our products come up for retesting, we’re adhering to this standard in addition to the others.
